The end of the long month of January nears. A quiet month at the Club as we all recover from the excesses of the previous year.

Meanwhile, keen volunteers rip parts of the Club apart and put it back together again under the enthusiastic guidance of RCH.

RCH also seems to be getting excited about Health & Safety and was last seen wandering around with a very large reference book...

Burns night next weekend and Mrs Clarkson is warming up her tonsils in preparation for singing her way through to the whisky chasers...I am not sure I approve of the song she has chosen, bit too close to home...

Chris Deacon by virtue of his absence at the last board meeting is now i/c Open Day 2011. Motto here is to step back quicker when I look for volunteers and as he was not there he was unable to step back!

RCS continues to move in mysterious ways and all move aside when he appears. I do hear that he has conjured up some Club dinghies for members to use to get to and from vessels.

VC was last seen pouring oil on the water for smoother operations....with a match behind his back in case he got bored. Must remember to confiscate the matches next time I see him.
