We had a great days racing with following results Racing in ISCRS Division 6A Purple start 0720

259 O/A ISCRS handicap class (believe 917 entered under this handicap scheme out of total 1750 who finished)

40 in group out of 188

10 in division out of 60

Highlight of the day – forgetting to turn off the fridge and flattening the domestic batteries – had cold beers for after the finish – though had to navigate from south east of the island by traditional compass and chart methods

Results as follows:

* 3rd in the Contessa 26 class

* 106 out of the 706 ISC boats

A fantastic day. The South of the Island gave some of the most exhilarating sailing that I have ever experienced. Lots of wind and water, just the job for a Contessa 26! The smiles on the faces of the 3 old blokes on board showed that even grumpy old men have fun!

Cannot wait for the RTI 2009!
