The Sailing and Social committees have been working to organize a great party weekend for our Anniversary on 9th and 10th of June Now is the time to check out the itinerary and get booking

                                 80th Anniversary weekend update

The social and sailing committees have worked to provide a Club 80th Anniversary party to suit all members whether you arrive on foot, by car or taxi or by boat.  Check the notice boards and the on-line booking calendar to choose the things you want to do.

Rally round

The club has reserved 30 berths at a rally discount rate in Port Hamble Marina on the Saturday night for members take part in the rally to the club. Places are filling up fast so get booking!  If you remain on your midstream mooring you can still take part in the sailing and party events.

 On the Saturday, commencing at  11:00  am there is a short pursuit race with individual timed starts, so no crowded start line!   For those less inclined towards a race there is a nautical treasure hunt for motor and sail, rib and tender. Go here for more details. This is a good opportunity to invite fellow members aboard to join in the fun.  The traditional impromptu pontoon party at 4:30pm

Come & Party

The evening event on Sat 9thcommences with a three course dinner at 7pm followed by dancing till midnight to “Gravity”.  Dress for the evening is” party”  There will be a large awning covering the entire patio to ensure that we are immune to inclement weather and to provide a party atmosphere  and allow room for more members to enjoy the party 

More Fun on Sunday

On the Sunday breakfast at the club is served from 9:30 to 10:30. Choose from breakfast, sandwiches  and baguettes for crews to take sailing.   Commencing at 11am there is a Parade of Sail out to Calshot and return to moorings at 13:00 followed by a family and friends afternoon at the clubhouse There will be a barbeque and entertainments including a clown, face painting and bouncy castle as well as a music from” Good News”   There is also an Andark fashion show.

Be proud of your club and display our anniversary logo.

To celebrate the Anniversary year, the RAFYC anniversary logo is available as a pair of bow stickers these can be purchased from the office at £5 a pair.

 

We intend to extend the 80th theme into the Battle of Britain Regatta and Annual Dinner so watch this space for further information
